Epiphone Mandobird
Today, let's have a look at this odd one by Epiphone: the Mandobird.
The one above is the VIII model (8 strings) but the original is a 4-stringed instrument:
The Mandobird features a custom single-coil pickup and mini Grover tuners. Mahogany body, mahogany neck with rosewood fretboard, and 14" scale.
Comes in an array of colors too:
I have to admit that I'm really seduced by the whole concept: a mandolin with the retro-future flair of the Firebird, what's not to like?
