Gretsch 6115 Rambler

The Gretsch 6115 Rambler is a lovely guitar:
It is also quite unusual in the Gretsch catalogue.
3/4 scale, DeArmond microphone, true f-hole hollowbody, florentine cutaway, red truss rod cover and red G in the tailpiece, rosewood fretboard with dot inlays.
Only available in Ivory White/Jet Black between 1957 and 1960.
The size and specs made it and ideal student instrument.
To me, this one oozes charm. Deliciously retro, its barebones specifications make it more desirable than the usual features-laden hollowbodies of the same maker. You just plug and play....
