Veleno Guitars
I recall seeing this dangerous-looking contraption in the late seventies at a PIL concert in the hands of Keith Levene.
He was almost shoving it in the faces of the audience, much to my growing concern...
Yes, you could use this for a giant kebab.
The Veleno guitars really look threatening; add to that the fact that "veleno" means "poison" in italian, and you get an instrument I wouldn't touch with a five foot pole.
Still, a fascinating artefact, with all that chrome-plated aluminium.
Why, you could even use it in the bathroom:
Veleno produced 3 different models: The Veleno "Original", the Veleno "Traveler", and the "Ankh" (for Wizardo Todd Rundgren).
Although I'm not really a big fan, the Veleno guitars have developed quite a following, even a cult.
